GENERAL REGISTRATION INFO & OFFERS
Overview
Dupree Dance welcomes both studio and independent registrants to register for convention classes at both our Regional and National Finals events. Competition registration is available for studio registrants only. Independent registrants are permitted to register for our convention classes and are eligible for all convention class scholarships with the exception of our Regional Collective award. A dancer must be studio-registered in order to be eligible to receive our Regional Collective scholarship.
At both our Regional and National Finals events, convention registration is required in order for a studio to compete. The only exception is if studio accounts have interest to register a Special Needs and/or Parent number at a regional event. The competition age, competition levels, routine divisions and adjudication information outlined in our Competition Information Page remain the same for all Regional and National Finals events.
Our online competition registration and options differ slightly between our Regional and National Finals events. Review our Competition Information page for a general overview and our National Finals competition page for additional information unique to this event.
Registration Process
Registration deadlines may be found on the Event page on our website for each city. We do encourage early registration. Dupree Dance monitors registration data to protect the integrity of our events and reserves the right to cut-off the convention and/or competition registration at any time prior to the advertised deadline.
Both studio and independent registrants will utilize our customized, online registration system for all events and will need to register by/before the stated registration deadline. We do not accept at-event registrations.
During the registration process for any event, a registrant must first enter the name, DOB and competition level of any first-time attendee who is participating in classes and competition. Our system will store (remember) all dancer names and DOB entered under an account, allowing a registrant to conveniently use a dropdown option to add any dancers to their roster who have attended previous Dupree events. Please refer to our Competition Levels criteria and rules when selecting either a “Performance” or “Competitive” level for each one of your registered dancers. Our system will not store (remember) the assigned level of each dancer. The assigned level must be updated by the registrant during the online registration process of each event to ensure accuracy in the case a dancer’s level changed from the previous event they attended.
A registrant must select and follow through with a payment option in order for their registration to be deemed final and for their entries to be deemed secured. Registrants must carefully review their competition registration before submitting it. Once a registration is submitted (by selecting a payment option), our system will not allow the registrant to make changes. Competition changes will not be permitted within 3 weeks prior to each event. We take great pride in preparing for our events early and the event schedule considers routine age and competition level divisions. We ask that registrants carefully review their registration data and competition summary during the registration process to ensure that their data is correct. ‘At event’ convention or competition changes are not permitted.
Convention classroom and/or competition entries are not considered “registered” until full payment is received. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Automated late fees will be applied for registrations submitted past the deadline and will be added to registrations who submit their data but do not issue full payment by the registration deadline. Late fees are $10 per dancer for convention registration and $10 per competition routine.

Payment
The only forms of payment accepted during the online registration process for all events are credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) or a cashier’s check (studio registrants only). Money orders, personal checks or studio/business checks will not be accepted. Independent registrants may only pay with credit card. There is a 3% processing fee on all credit card transactions. If a studio account opts to pay with a cashier’s check, they must select that payment option during the final step of their registration process. Selecting the cashier's check option will submit the studio registration data, but a registration is not deemed as secured/final and competition entries will not be considered as part of our event planning until full payment is received.
Cashier's check payments must be mailed via USPS Priority Express (overnight option) and must be post-marked by/before the stated registration deadline for each event. For the safety and verification of the client and Dupree Dance, both a TRACKING NUMBER and RECEIPT of a cashier’s check payment must be obtained. In the event that a payment is not received within 1-2 days post registration deadline, a studio account will be asked to provide both the tracking number and receipt to Dupree Dance. Dupree Dance is not responsible for lost payments. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Special Offers
All studio offers are subject to registration deadline for each event, so be sure to register early!
First Time Studio Offer
If you are a First Time Studio and plan on registering 6 or more students at an event, email or call us for a special First Time Studio Offer before the completion of your online registration and payment. We do ask that you call at least a few days in advance of the registration deadline for the first event you are attending so it gives us the chance to share and apply the First Time Studio Offer to your account.
Studio Loyalty Program
Dupree Dance is thrilled about giving back to our loyal customers via our incredible Studio Loyalty Program. Our Studio Loyalty Program is designed for studios that attend our event on an annual basis. Loyalty Program details are shared with Studio Owners and Directors only after the first event they attend.
Free Teacher Offer
Dupree Dance extends a Free Teacher Offer to qualifying studio registrations.
If you are a studio and register 6 or more paid dancers, you are eligible to take advantage of our Free Teacher Offer. Students who attend our event on a Dupree scholarship do not count towards the total number of students under our Free Teacher Offer.
In order to apply the Free Teacher Offer to your online studio registration, you will need to first enter your teacher(s) information (name, DOB) during the convention registration step. Be sure to select the ballroom choice of 'Teacher/Owner’ for their class level. During the ‘Discounts and Special Offers’ section of your online registration, you will then be able to select the qualified number of registered Teachers to apply the discount to and their convention fees will be removed.
Our Free Teacher Offer is as follows:
Register 6-10 PAID dancers and 1 Teacher attends for free.
Register 11-20 PAID dancers and 2 Teachers attend for free.
Register 21-30 PAID dancers and 3 Teachers attend for free.
Register 31-40 PAID dancers and 4 Teachers attend for free.
Register 41 + PAID dancers and ALL your Teachers attend for free.
Our online registration process will remind you of the number of Free Teacher(s) your studio qualifies for during the registration process. If you register 30 dancers and only choose to register 2 Full-Time Teachers, you may not ‘carry over’ the additional Free Teacher to future registrations. Offers are based per registration, per event. Our Free Teacher Offer is based on the number of students you register by/before our registration deadline. Dancers added to your registration past the deadline do NOT count towards the total amount of dancers under your Free Teacher Offer.
Please remember that registered Teachers are welcome to compete, but any routine with 1 or more Registered Teacher is not eligible for an overall award. If you have a competing dancer who is 19 years old or younger and also teaches at your studio, we would recommend registering him/her a Senior student instead of Teacher. Refer to our Competition Rules for additional information.
Complimentary Studio Owner / Director Classroom Access and Luncheon
Up to 2 attending Studio Owner/Director names may be submitted during the online registration process. These names will receive a VIP lanyard that will gain complimentary access to observe classes in our Launch-Senior rooms. They are additionally invited to attend our private & complimentary Owner/Director luncheon on Sunday hosted by Dupree Dance owner, Kari Anderson, along with the Dupree faculty. The exact time and location of the luncheon will be noted on the pre-event email sent out one week prior to each regional event. We also designate a certain time to host a complimentary owner/director meals and/or socials during our National Finals event and will communicate directly with our registered studios as to those details a few weeks prior to that event.
Unforeseen Circumstances
If the Dupree Dance faculty is able to arrive to the host event, the event will go on regardless of the weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. If an extenuating weather or unforeseen circumstance arises and Dupree Dance cancels an event and it is not rescheduled, FULL Refunds will be issued. If the event is rescheduled, no refunds will be given. Should an extenuating circumstance arise, please check the website and/or your email address that you registered under for any event updates.
We encourage you to exercise caution and make any necessary travel arrangements so that you will not have any problems making it to the event. Furthermore, no refunds will be given on any Dupree Dance expenses. Please keep an eye on the local and national news so that you are prepared for any inclement weather or mandated policies regarding unforeseen circumstances. In the event of poor weather or environmental conditions, Dupree Dance will put an announcement on our phone line at 888-498-2998 with an update in the EXTREME case of cancellation.
